A MAN has been bashed over the head with a handgun while a woman had her bag snatched in a terrifying random attack in Heatley.
Police were yesterday still hunting for the two men involved in the armed robbery at a sporting complex in Heatley Park on Saturday night. Two men approached a man and a woman about 11.30pm, demanding their car keys. One of the men, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, then struck the man in the head. The other man grabbed the woman’s handbag before both men fled the scene on foot toward Lindeman Avenue. The 41-year-old man was treated at the scene for a laceration to his temple and cheek.
